Volunteering

Here are some wonderful opportunities:

• Our teachers are working hard at differentiating reading instruction for all of our students with a focus on a rigorous approach and high engagement. You could support them by helping with a small reading group, or by putting together materials for Reading time (such as small book bags). Just ask!

• Fieldtrips! You could accompany any classroom to help ensure all have a good, safe experience. Extra bonus: you get to build relationships with our kids, who are wonderful!

• Whitman’s Lost and Found can use a little help looking organized and cleaned up. This is something that could be done weekly, or whenever you walk by and think it needs some help.
